Membership

Membership of CBCA is an excellent practical way to support the objectives of the Conservative Party and to meet politically like-minded people.

Membership of the Conservative Party is a recommended minimum of £25 a year, or £5 if under 22 years of age. Subscriptions from members are used to support campaigning locally and the Party at national level.

Benefits of being a member:

  • After the first three months of your membership, you will be entitled to vote in Party ballots. This includes voting in any elections for the Leader of the Party and taking part in the selection process for Councillors, MPs, MEPs and London Assembly Members.
  • You will have the chance to influence Party policy by letting us know your views. CBCA also hosts a monthly political discussion group.
  • You'll be the first to know what's going on by receiving regular updates about the latest policies and campaigns, including exclusive videos and interviews with the Prime Minister and the Cabinet.
  • You will be invited to join the Party's Affinity Programme which provides Members with fantastic discounts on a wide range of products, including books, plants, wine, fashion, bikes, homeware and even green electricity.
  • As a member, you can choose to play an active role in the Party by joining a local campaign team, becoming a Councillor and attending Party Conference. However, we also understand that many people are unable to play an active role due to personal or work commitments. If you fall into this category, it is still well worth becoming a member as your subscription will help to fund our campaign activities - we are entirely self funded and membership subscriptions provide a large proportion of our income.
  • You will receive regular newsletters about what's going on locally and be invited to attend fundraising events, including political dinners with high profile guest speakers.

Any person living in the United Kingdom is eligible to join the Conservative Party. Applicants are not required to be registered voters or UK nationals. There is no upper or lower age limit on membership, although children under the age of 15 cannot be enrolled as full voting members.
