The Chipping Barnet Conservative Association (CBCA) is one of the largest and most successful Conservative Associations in the country and exists to:
-
Promote the Conservative cause
-
-
Raise funds for the Conservative Party
-
Organise local political and social activities
-
Maintain contact between members and elected representatives
Membership
Membership of CBCA is an excellent way to support the objectives of the Conservative Party in a practical way, to meet people and make friends and contacts.
Membership of the Conservative Party commits you to nothing more than an annual subscription you feel able to afford. These days we look to £25 as being the average personal subscription. (£5 if under 22).
Following the reforms approved by the Party in 1998, the Conservative Party is now the most democratic political party in the UK. Every member has a say on policy and in choosing our leader.
Subscriptions from members and fund-raising activities are used to support this and other constituencies, campaigns and the Party at national level.
Members receive a copy of our newsletter, Blueprint and a diary of events 7 times a year. The Association and its 15 branches organise around 200 political and social events a year.
These include dinners, informal suppers with political speakers not to mention talks on a wide range of political and general topics. Recent speakers have included – George Osbourne, Liam Fox and Lord Trimble. We also hold lunches, coffee mornings, bar-b-ques and organise visits to places of interest. We also organise trips overseas. As a Member of the Association, you will have the opportunity of choosing from a wide range of enjoyable political and social activities.
